The Paterson Family

Hello~ My name is Woo-hyun, Yoo from South Korea.I stayed with the Paterson family for about four months(Mar.~Jun. 2006).I had a wonderful time living with the Paterson. They are really nice people(they also have a cute dog named Calle:>).They helped me a lot with so many things(I can't name them all.). Thanks to them, I could learn more about the Canadian culture and the language! I strongly believe that anybody who'll stay with them is a lucky one and will have a wonderful time with them.Thank you.

Hi, I am Ha Yeon from Korea. I stayed for about four months with the Patersons. I had a private room on the second floor next to the wash room, so there was no inconvenience to use the washroom every time I wanted. Dave and Marilee know how to live well with the students from other culture because they have had students from Korea, Japan, Morocco and Mexico, and also they both are really generous and understanding, especially Dave has a great sense of humor, which you will be able to find so much fun. haha :) Marilee cooks very well (I am a huge fan of her cook) so you won't need to worry about food. Plus, if you want to eat something, you can write what you want to eat the paper on the fridge, then Marilee will buy that for you when she has groceries shopping. All meals are included in the rent, and if you want to take your lunch with you for school, you need to make it by yourself, but you can make what you want to eat everyday differently. They also offer laundry facilities and even detergent for free. Dave and Marilee both are working as a teacher, so they will be willing to teach whatever you want to learn or know. The house is located close to a bus stop, and the bus takes to c-train station only 10minutes. C-train takes approximately 20-25 minutes to downtown. They also have wireless internet and a computer you can use anytime in the basement. Paterson family is the best people I met in Calgary.
